TranscendSphere: Your Weekly Guide to the World of Transhumanity #002

Welcome back to TranscendSphere, your trusty companion for all things transhumanist!

We’ve handpicked the highlights of the week for your reading pleasure, from new developments in AI to exciting glimpses into the world of stem cells. While we’re on a semi-holiday for the rest of August, we’re still committed to bringing you the latest news through this series.

Let’s dive in!

1. WeeklyPedia – Your Friday Fix of Top Trends

If you’re looking for an inside peek into the week’s hottest topics, Weekly Pedia’s newsletter is a must-read. This email round-up, delivered every Friday, offers a snapshot of the top 20 Wikipedia pages and five most-discussed subjects.

While it might not always touch on transhumanist themes, there’s usually something that sparks intrigue. This past week, for example, the leading discussion was centered around Zionism, Race, and Genetics.

2. Surviving AI – An Essential Read

This week, I finally got around to reading Surviving AI, a book that’s been patiently waiting in my Kindle library for the past 4-6 years. I initially worried that its 2015 publication date might make it feel dated, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The book’s opening chapters serve as a top-notch primer on AI for anyone wanting to get a grip on what all the fuss is about. It’s an insightful read, and I’d heartily recommend it to anyone looking to delve into the AI world.

3. Stem Cells Made Simple – An Enlightening Article

Want to unlock the mysteries of stem cells? This brilliant article breaks down the three main types of stem cells and explains their revolutionary potential in the field of medicine. You don’t need a science degree to understand the power of these remarkable cells, which have the potential to reshape the future of healthcare.

4. Roblox – The Game Changer

You may have heard about Roblux recently, especially in financial news.

However, what really caught our eye was its astonishing reach. Boasting a staggering 66 million daily players (essentially the entire UK population!), it’s more than just a game. Its latest feature is a Career Centre where players can apply and even be interviewed for real-life jobs!

That wraps up this week’s selection, but we’ll be back soon with more news and insights from the world of transhumanism.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be launching a free email newsletter, so stay tuned for details on how to sign up and have these updates delivered straight to your inbox.
